Course Overview

In this short course the student is given information and knowledge to allow them to successfully implement strength and conditioning plans and programs for themselves, clients and athletes.

The course starts with a general overview of sports science, before explaining how sports science can be applied to the field of strength and conditioning in a more specific manner.

Embedded within this subject is information about developing periodization and long term training programs for clients, working with specific skill sets of many sports and prescribing Olympic lifts, power lifting and plyometric training for advanced clients.


Course Details

This course covers the content of three competencies which have been clustered into one subject:

‘Strength and Conditioning’

All theory is delivered and assessed online. Practical assessment must be filmed and submitted to Onfit.

The duration of this course is 6 months. A statement of attainment will be issued upon successful completion.
