Recognition of Prior Skills and Learning

If you feel you may have achieved the skills and/or knowledge relating to any of the content in the Nationally Recognised Qualifications that we offer, then looking into getting Recognition of Prior Learning or a Credit Transfer may be of interest to you.

What is Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)?

There is a range of ways that someone can learn and RPL allows us to recognise this. Through an RPL application, our assessor will use any relevant evidence that you have to assess your knowledge and skills. Your learning could be formal, such as an accredited qualification, informal such as experience you gained from work or non-formal such as a non-accredited qualification.

What is a Credit Transfer (CT)?

If you have completed a formal qualification that has covered any of the same unit/s of study as one of our courses, then your successful result can be transferred to another course, which would eliminate the need for you to re-complete this requirement. This process is completed by matching competencies between qualifications and ensuring that these outcomes are equivalent.

What’s next?

If you feel that RPL or CT may be right for you, then have a chat with us and we can talk you through your options, answer any questions you have and let you know where to go from here.
