FS8 Trainer Course Overview
In this FS8 Trainer course, you will gain the knowledge and skills needed to deliver an FS8 session effectively and safely. You will be exposed to different training principles that use elements of Pilates, yoga, and strength training, becoming proficient in demonstrating and explaining key exercises with proper form and technique.
You will learn the skills needed to modify exercises to accommodate different fitness levels and address individual needs, and better understand the importance of being able to use strong communication and motivational skills to engage and inspire your clients.
Additionally, being well-versed in the FS8 philosophy and methodology will ensure consistency and quality in your instruction, helping clients achieve their fitness goals in a balanced and holistic manner.
Course Outcomes
- Understand the fundamental principles of Pilates, Tone and Yoga and their application in an instructor/teaching context.
- Demonstrate proficiency in a wide range of FS8 exercises and techniques.
- Assess and address individual client needs, adapting exercises accordingly.
- Deliver effective FS8 classes for various fitness levels and goals.
- Apply knowledge of anatomy and physiology to ensure safe and effective instruction to all clients.
- Communicate clearly and motivate clients, fostering a positive and supportive class environment.
- Implement best practices for injury prevention and rehabilitation through FS8 sessions.
Assessment Requirements
For the completion of the course, you’ll be required to complete online multiple-choice quizzes and a filmed practical assessment.
You’ll need access to the following equipment to complete your assessment
- Reformer
- Yoga Mat
- General gym equipment (e.g. dumbbells)

Upon obtaining the FS8 Trainer Certification, you may be considered for potential career opportunities within an FS8 franchise. However, please be aware that all hiring decisions are made independently by each franchisor, based on their own evaluation and processes. Completion of this course does not guarantee employment at an FS8 franchise.
